Media Veteran Takes Key Post With Disney-ABC as Part of ‘Major Reorganization’

The Disney-ABC Television Group brought aboard a veteran media executive to fill the post of president, Business Operations. The company announced today that Bruce Rosenblum is taking over the job.

Announcing the move was Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks, and president, Disney|ABC Television Group (DATG). Sherwood announced what the company calls “a major reorganization of his portfolio to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency while optimizing and growing revenue streams.”

Rosenblum, one of the industry’s most well-regarded executives, takes the position effective immediately, reporting to Sherwood.

In the announcement, Sherwood said: “As we build on creative momentum across our portfolio, it has become more important than ever to establish a more efficient and effective operating structure. With his formidable record as a skilled manager and innovative deal maker, Bruce is a stellar addition to our team. I’m confident he will make a powerful difference as we navigate — and win — the future.”
