At the urging of veteran sports “opinionist” Stephen A. Smith, ESPN’s “First Take” is throwing its doors open to fans to compete for a chance to come on the show to debate sports with the show’s regular commentators.

Smith announced the promotion on this morning’s “First Take,” revealing that the show will screen videos submitted by viewers to select two winners — the best female and best male debater — to appear on the show.
