A man authorities believe used a sledgehammer and pick-ax to destroy Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was in custody this morning, Deadline.com reports.

As we reported yesterday, a man identifying himself as Jamie Otis was taped early Wednesday morning damaging the star. The man reportedly said he wanted to remove the star and auction it off to raise funds for the women who have accused Trump of sexual assault.

“Jamie Otis is now in police custody and waiting to be formally booked at the Men’s Central jail in downtown L.A.,” Deadline reported this morning. Otis was reportedly arrested around 7 a.m. today.

“Otis had planned to hold a press conference at 9:30 a.m. this morning on Hollywood Boulevard at the location of the already being repaired Trump star,” Deadline reports. “Accompanied by his lawyer, Otis was then going to head over to the Hollywood Police station and turned himself in, he told Deadline last night.”

Otis reportedly faces a possible felony vandalism charge.
