“There are times when words do not do complete justice to a moment. Tuesday night’s Newt Gingrich-Megyn Kelly showdown is one of those times,” writes Rebecca Sinderbrand in the Washington Post.

The story says, “Gingrich, on Fox in his role as a Donald Trump surrogate, had questioned the stories of women who’ve come forward to accuse Trump of sexual assault — and the relative importance of the controversy itself, relative to Hillary Clinton’s alleged misdeeds.

“Kelly pushed back. ‘As a media story, we don’t get to say that 10 women are lying. We have to cover that story, sir,’ said the Fox anchor.”

There was a little more back and forth and then Gingrich said, “…I mean, you want to go back through the tapes of your show recently, you are fascinated with sex, and you don’t care about public policy.”

The story continues, “At that point, Kelly glanced up and past the camera, with the look of someone who wasn’t quite sure she’d heard what she thought she’d heard, and needed an instant replay on reality. (We know this look well.) ‘Me? Really?’ she said, laughing.”

Later, at the end of the interview Kelly said, “We’re going to have to leave it at that, and you can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them, Mr. Speaker. Thanks for being here.”

Here’s the video. The fireworks begin at about the 4:30 mark:

  1. She has an agenda. It’s obvious.

    TRUMP 2016!

  2. Get her off tv!

  3. I love riding my motorcycle. A typical ride may cover 50 miles or more throughout the area. This past weekend the political yard sign tally was 81 Trump, 2 Clinton. The week earlier in another direction that count was 312 Trump, 0 Clinton! I saw huge hand painted Trump signs painted on barns and one of a kind professional banners for Trump. When you consider that many Trump supporters are being very quiet about that support, the total support might be more than enough to put him in the White House. This is one case where we are willing to go with the “devil we don’t know” rather than the corrupt devil we have known for years. And with the “smoking gun” proof provided by Wikileaks that is more likely than not. The same media that has behaved as an extension of the Clinton campaign is now engaged in an attempt to discourage Trump voters by putting out the false narrative that the election is over. IT IS NOT! History shows that the media tried the same thing with Reagan and it failed then too. It is time to clean out the corruption in Washington and the media!

  4. Obviously Ms. Kelly is attempting to increase her role as a feisty commentator at all costs. In so doing she hopes to increase her compensation demands from Fox. Talk about coming off as “nasty” this individual illustrates this with each broadcast! I agree . .. wake up Fox it’s time to dump this smug, self-centered bitch!

  5. Nicely done Megyn Kelly. Having Newt Gingrich lecture about morality is so ridiculous.

  6. Thank you megyn, keep standing up to the nonsense.
