One of the stars of the Discovery Channel reality show “Deadliest Catch” was assaulted over the weekend, the AP reports.

The story reports that authorities are investigating after Josh Harris said on social media that his brother Jake Harris was beaten and severely injured in an incident Saturday night in Everett, Wash.

“The Everett Police Department says they received a report of ‘a male victim of an assault,'” the AP reports. “Police spokesman Aaron Snell told The Seattle Times the victim was found by a passer-by who called 911. The man refused medical attention and was taken home by police.”

KIRO7 reported: “Josh Harris said Jake was ‘jumped’ Saturday at about 8 p.m. and was in an intensive care unit with a ‘cracked skull’ and brain trauma.”

The KIRO report adds: “The victim’s brother said Jake was beaten and then thrown out of a moving vehicle onto the side of the SR 526/the Mukilteo Speedway, but Everett police only were able to confirm that people in another car saw Jake along the highway and called 911 to get help.”
