The FBI has officially closed its investigation into an incident aboard a plane involving Brad Pitt that became an issue in the dissolution of his marriage to Angelina Jolie.
E! News reports that the agency will not pursue charges against Pitt in connection with the Sept. 15 incident.
The report quotes a statement from an FBI spokesperson that says: “In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter.”
E! News adds: “Earlier this month, Pitt was cleared of child abuse allegations by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.”
