A former contestant on the CBS reality competition “Survivor” has been convicted on child pornography charges. The AP reports that Michael Skupin was convicted today on four of six counts of possession of child porn in Oakland County, near Detroit.

Skupin appeared in 2001 on “Survivor II: The Australian Outback,” where he had to be airlifted out after falling into a campfire and burning his hands. He later returned to the series for “Survivor: Philippines.”

“He faces up to four years in prison on each count and is due to be sentenced Dec. 27,” the AP reports. “Investigators say they discovered the child porn on Skupin’s laptop while investigating an alleged Ponzi scheme he is accused of orchestrating. He faces financial fraud charges and is due in court next week in that case.”

  1. Every time one of these stories comes along you just have to ask what freaks are so interested in child or kiddie or whatever type of underage crap they want to call it. What is it about these people in Hollywood that just can’t get enough of this perverted crap?

  2. RealTVCritics must have skipped geography in school. Last time I checked, Oakland County near Detroit is in Michigan, well over 2,200 from Hollywood. Seems like a lot of these people he mentions who are into “underage crap” live far from Hollywood in places like Indiana (Jared Fogle), Illinois (Dennis Hastert) and Pennsylvania (Jerry Sandusky).

  3. 2,200 miles
