Nick Gordon, who was a no-show during his wrongful death case in connection with the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, skipped another court appearance today, the same day he was ordered to pay $36 million to Brown’s estate, TMZ.com reports.

Gordon was found legally responsible for her death two months ago. Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, died in July 2015 at age 22 after spending the last four months of her life in a coma.

Gordon was never charged with a crime in the case, but the estate of Bobbi Kristina Brown filed a civil lawsuit against him.

TMZ notes that the judgment against Gordon includes $15 million for loss of life (including Bobbi Kristina’s net worth and potential future earnings); $13 million for pain and suffering; $1.5 million for conversion (theft of funds and assets); and $1.3 million for assault and battery and medical damages, plus $4.2 million because Gordon was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time.
