A Hollywood producer who is behind the recent Tom Hanks movie “Sully” along with the Ben Affleck film “The Accountant” could become secretary of the U.S. Treasury in a Donald Trump administration, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Steven Mnuchin has helped raise money for the Trump campaign, and has also been helping to develop Trump’s economic policies, the story reports. Mnuchin is an executive producer on both “Sully” and “The Accountant,” along with a string of high-profile Hollywood movies in recent years including “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

“Trump appointed Mnuchin the finance chairman of his campaign in May, and is apparently impressed by his business acumen,” THR reports. “While the Trump campaign didn’t respond to a request for comment, Fox Business reported Thursday, citing people with direct knowledge, that Mnuchin could be in line for Treasury secretary.

The report adds: “Other Cabinet possibilities include New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for Attorney General and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for Homeland Security secretary.”

  1. Really?!!!
Hollywood producer and campaign finance chairman U.S. Treasury Secretary: two solid qualifications.

And of course Christie for Attorney General. Given his his experience closing bridges he can help Giuliani close our borders.
