Twitter suspended the account of its own CEO Tuesday evening. The company, which has been under pressure to deal with abuse on its platform, suspended the account of CEO Jack Dorsey for a brief period before the account was reinstated, The New York Post reports.
“Dorsey’s account was back on line shortly after 9 p.m. but the Twitter chief lost a massive amount of followers,” The Post reports. “Twitter did not comment, but Dorsey tweeted that the suspension was an ‘internal mistake.’”
The report adds: “Earlier this week, Twitter began suspending the accounts of users affiliated with the pro-Donald Trump ‘alt-right’ movement.”
