An actress who stars on the HBO drama series “Westworld” revealed she was the victim of two sexual assaults, and later shut down her social media presence. E! News reports that Evan Rachel Wood made the assault revelations in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“Following a recent sit-down with Rolling Stone in which she revealed two separate instances of ‘physical, psychological [and] sexual’ abuse at the hands of a former significant other and then a bar owner, the ‘Westworld’ star shared Tuesday that it’s in her best interest to leave social media,” E! News reports.

Wood posted a tweet saying: “Will be taking a break from social media for the time being. Thank you for all your support and courageous stories. You are not alone. xo.”

In a letter to Rolling Stone following up on the interview, part of which was published along with the interview, Wood, 29, wrote: “I will not be ashamed. I will also not project some false idea of being completely over it because ‘I am so strong.’ I don’t believe we live in a time where people can stay silent any longer. I certainly can’t. Not given the state our world is in with its blatant bigotry and sexism.”

E! News adds: “Evan believes there should be less ‘pressure’ put on sexual assault survivors to move on from such incidents, continuing, ‘I am still standing. I am alive. I am happy. I am strong, But I am still not ok… It’s not that you can’t get over it, it’s just that you are never the same, or maybe I just haven’t gotten there yet.'”
