Before her death Tuesday at age 60, “Star Wars” heroine Carrie Fisher was doing voice work for the animated Fox show “Family Guy,” where she played Angela in more than 20 episodes, going back to 2005.
Two new episodes featuring Fisher’s voice have yet to air, with Variety reporting that the airdates have not yet been determined. Angela is Peter Griffin’s supervisor at the brewery, with Griffin voiced by series creator Seth MacFarlane.
Fisher suffered what has been called a massive heart attack during a flight Friday to Los Angeles from London, where she had been filming the sitcom “Catastrophe.”
MacFarlane sent out a tweet Tuesday after learning of Fisher’s death, writing: “Carrie Fisher was smart, funny, talented, surprising, and always a hell of a fun time to be around. Family Guy will miss her immensely.”
Variety notes that Fisher had already completed her work on the eighth film in the “Star Wars” movie franchise, where she will again appear as Leia Organa — the role she originated at age 19.
