The story of just what happened to get two men kicked off a Delta Airlines flight — including a YouTube star who says they were booted for speaking Arabic — continues to unfold.

The airline released a new statement about the incident Wednesday night, saying Adam Saleh and Slim Albaher were removed from the plane because of their “provocative behavior.”

“Upon landing the crew was debriefed and multiple passenger statements collected. Based on the information collected to date, it appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting,” Delta says in its statement.

The statement adds: “This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight. While one, according to media reports, is a known prankster who was video recorded and encouraged by his traveling companion, what is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees. It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority.”

Meanwhile, Saleh and Albaher, after arriving in New York on a different airline, released a new video discussing the incident and containing new footage filmed on the plane and at the airport. You can watch the video below.

The video includes a discussion with the pilot and members of the Delta staff in which the pilot accuses Saleh of causing a scene for the benefit of the cameras.

As we reported Wednesday, Saleh has a large following on YouTube and regularly posts prank videos. But he says the incident was no prank and the camera was used just to document the events.

“When it turned into a chain reaction of, like, 20 racist people against us and the captain comes and takes us out, that’s when I knew I have to take my camera out,” he says on the video, adding: “Other Delta customers knew exactly that they were trying to kick us out for speaking another language. And when we say that in the video, they never denied anything … until after they’d seen the video that’s out, then they tried to deny the situation.”

Saleh and Albaher are calling for a boycott of Delta.

Here’s the video, which comes with a warning about strong language …

  1. What a brat.
The staff were extremely professional and calm, didn’t get goaded into his concocted event.
God bless the 20 passengers who stood up. This phony is racist, not the people he disturbed. Anyone loud and dramatic on a plane is a threat, regardless the language.
Last point: your headline is grossly misleading. The extra video reveals nothing new.

  2. What a moron…a narcissist too
