NBC’s plans for Megyn Kelly are beginning to materialize, with a network executive revealing that her new morning show will premiere in the fall and appears to be slotted to work around “Today,” USA Today reports.

“Undecided, as yet: Whether Kelly will air at 9 a.m. ET/PT — bridging the gap between the first two hours of ‘Today’ and the lighter fourth hour featuring Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford — or at 10 a.m., in which case Kotb and Gifford’s giggle-fest would move an hour earlier,” the story reports. “The current 9 a.m. hour, fronted by Al Roker and Tamron Hall, will disappear by fall in either event, though both are expected to remain at the network.”

Kelly left Fox News Channel earlier this month and will join NBC in May. NBC wasn’t commenting.

Bill Carroll, an analyst at Katz Television Group, is quoted in the report saying, “What I’m hearing is she’s doing a daytime version of what she did at Fox,” adding that the programming is expected to consist of lifestyle and entertainment stories mixed in with newsmaker interviews.
