Historian Examines Prospects for Trump’s Impeachment

“A college professor who has successfully predicted every presidential election since 1984, including Donald Trump’s upset victory last year, is working on a book based on a possible future plot twist: Trump’s removal from office,” the AP reports.

“Dey Street Books told The Associated Press on Tuesday that it had acquired Allan J. Lichtman’s ‘The Case for Impeachment’ and planned to release it April 18,” the story reports. “Lichtman teaches history at American University and has used a system of 13 ‘keys,’ from the economy to a candidate’s ‘charisma,’ to pick presidential winners.”

The report adds: “Soon after the 2106 election, Lichtman speculated that Trump could be impeached because he plays ‘fast and loose with the law,’ he told CNBC. He acknowledged that he was basing his prediction on ‘gut’ feeling, and not a scientific system.”

  1. More news from the fake media – how is someones gut feeling a news story? Trump is right in calling out the fake media.

  2. This is ridiculous. This “fake news” is becoming an epidemic. Just this morning while walking my dog, I’m listening to ABC Radio Network news on a local station. The lead story was the unusually high temperatures in Chicago for February. The reporter just HAD to mention that this was a result of “climate change.” After the commercial break, they came back with another story. This one was about how women in South Korea and France live to an average age of 88 years old. In America however, the reporter pointed out that the average for women was only 80 years old. Then he added: “This is undoubtedly a result of women in South Korea and France having greater access to Universal Health Care.” !!! You can’t make this crap up. I can’t tell if I was listening to a network newscast, or an infomercial for left wing causes.

  3. Impeachment doesn’t mean that the President loses his office. It only means charges have been brought. Remember Bill Clinton was impeached but was not removed from office. It is likely that if the democrats get control of Congress they will look for something that they can bring impeachment charges on. But that doesn’t mean Trump will be removed from office. This is a common error made by the press and those democratic spokespeople that are trying to rally their hard core base. This is not fake news as it is a fact that the professor is working on a book. It may get more attention than the story deserves, but it is not fake.

  4. Prof. Alan Lichtman predicted Al Gore in 2000. So much for his record.
