ABC is billing it as one of the most romantic and dramatic nights ever on the network, with the live three-hour season finale to the avidly followed “The Bachelor” set for Monday, March 13.

“The compelling live three-hour television event will begin with America watching along with the studio audience, as Nick Viall’s journey to find love comes to its astonishing conclusion,” ABC says in an announcement released today. “After his dreams of finding love were cut short when both bachelorettes Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe left him heartbroken, Nick has narrowed down the field of 30 bachelorettes to two captivating women — Raven and Vanessa — both of whom he is falling for.”

The program will be followed by the live special “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose,” with Nick, Raven and Vanessa looking back on the finale. New Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay will also make an appearance on the special.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television, with Mike Fleiss, Elan Gale, Bennett Graebner and Nicole Woods as executive producers.
