Netflix is working on its first major animated feature film, and based on details that have just come out, it’s tempting to draw comparisons to the Broadway smash “Hamilton.”

Deadline.com reports that “America: The Motion Picture” is “an R-rated revisionist history tale about the founding of the country, with Channing Tatum voicing the lead role of George Washington. Dave Callaham wrote the script, and Matt Thompson is directing.”

Thompson and his partner at Floyd County, Adam Reed — who are both also behind the animated show “Archer” — are producing along with Callaham.

“Tatum is also producing with his Free Association partners Peter Kiernan and Reid Carolin, and ‘The Lego Movie‘s’ Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Will Allegra at Lord Miller,” Deadline adds.
