The streaming service Netflix has already brought back the “Gilmore Girls” TV franchise once, for “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” a four-part reboot released last November. Now the word is that Netflix is angling for another “Gilmore Girls” project.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed quotes Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos saying the streaming service is in “very preliminary” talks with the show’s creators, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino, for a second revival.
Sarandos added: “We hope [there are more installments]. We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped.” He added: “The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more, and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”
