David Letterman will fill in for an ailing Neil Young at Friday’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the AP reports. Young had been scheduled to induct Pearl Jam into the Hall, but now Letterman will do the honors.

“According to a statement from the hall, Young ‘is regrettably no longer able to induct Pearl Jam’ due to illness and is ‘thrilled’ that former TV talk-show host Letterman will substitute,” the AP reports, adding: “Pearl Jam made its ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ debut in 1996 with a version of ‘Hail, Hail.'”

Along with Pearl Jam, this year’s inductees include Tupac Shakur, ELO, Journey, Nile Rodgers, Joan Baez and Yes. The induction ceremony will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
