A drama series that’s currently in the midst of its first season will be coming back for a 10-episode second season. E! announced that it has ordered more of “The Arrangement.”
The series, which stars Josh Henderson, Christine Evangelista and Lexa Doig, has been described as an amalgam of stories exploring the darker side of Hollywood, with some observers drawing parallels to Scientology — the show features the secretive “Institute of the Higher Mind” — and the Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes saga.
The show reportedly delivered 848,000 total same-day viewers for its March 5 premiere, averaging 715,000 through the midway point of season one, with Deadline.com reporting that the season average rises to 1.3 million in live+3.
Deadline quotes Adam Stotsky, president of E! Entertainment and Esquire Network, saying: “As E!’s second successful foray into scripted, we are thrilled to see the show resonate with viewers and gain momentum throughout the season. Continuing to fuel our audience’s passion for pop culture and celebrity, ‘The Arrangement’ allows us to reveal a darker side of Hollywood that has never been seen before. Alongside our partners at Universal Cable Productions, we’re excited to watch this intriguingly unpredictable story continue to unfold in a second season.”
Episode 7 is scheduled to air this Sunday, April 16.
