HBO announced plans today for a show that will star TV legend Carl Reiner along with legends from comedy, music and film.

The project, “If You’re Not In the Obit, Eat Breakfast,” is billed as “a Celebration of Vitality After Age 90 Hosted by Carl Reiner.” The show premieres June 5 on HBO, with a lineup of legends that includes Tony Bennett, Mel Brooks, Kirk Douglas, Norman Lear, Stan Lee, Jerry Seinfeld, Dick Van Dyke and Betty White.

Reiner, who turned 95 last month, says in the announcement: “Every morning before having breakfast, I pick up my newspaper, get the obituary section, and see if I’m listed. If I’m not, I’ll have my breakfast.”

HBO adds that Reiner “wonders why some of his friends died years ago, while others are still thriving, asking, ‘Was it luck, genes, modern medicine or are we doing something right?'”
