The 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were handed out Sunday in a gala ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Southern California, and CBS led the way among the networks, winning seven trophies.
ABC was close behind with five Emmys, with the same number going to syndicated programs.
Among the daytime dramas, ABC’s “General Hospital” was the big winner with four Daytime Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series. CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” claimed three trophies and CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” took home two.
Among the other highlights, ABC’s “Good Morning America” won Outstanding Morning Program, “The Dr. Oz Show” won Outstanding Informative Talk Show and perennial powerhouse “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” won Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show.
