CBS Daytime today announced the promotions of three executives, with Margot Wain promoted to Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, and Ray Paolantonio and Laurie Seidman promoted to Vice Presidents, Daytime Programs.

Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development, CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution, made the announcement.

“CBS Daytime is stronger than ever. The Network has been #1 in daytime for a record 30 years, and our lineup of dramas, talk and game shows recently took home an industry-leading 14 Daytime Emmy Awards,” said McDaniel. “Margot, Ray and Laurie have each made indelible contributions to these shows, and they will continue to help the Network remain television’s favorite daytime destination.”

The announcement adds: “In her new position, Wain will continue as the current executive on network television’s #1 daytime series, ‘The Price Is Right,’ and daytime drama ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ while working with writers and producers on all day-to-day creative and strategic elements.

“Wain has been associated with ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ since the daytime drama’s premiere in 1987, and previously served as the current executive on ‘The Young and the Restless,’ television’s #1 daytime drama, for more than 30 years.”

The announcement also notes: “In Paolantonio’s new post, he is responsible for oversight of ‘Let’s Make a Deal’ and ‘CBS Dream Team … It’s Epic!,’ the Network’s Saturday morning young adult E/I programming block. He also oversees daytime scheduling.

“He joined CBS in August 1999 as an assistant in drama development and moved into the alternative series development department during the first two seasons of ‘Survivor,’ ‘The Amazing Race’ and ‘Big Brother.’ He joined the Daytime department in February 2001 as an assistant and was promoted to Coordinator, Daytime Programs in April 2003. Paolantonio was upped to Manager, Daytime Programs in April 2008 and Director in 2013.”

The announcement adds: “Seidman, in her new role, serves as the current executive on ‘The Talk’ and is also responsible for the strategy and management of CBS Daytime’s social media accounts. She joined CBS Entertainment in July 2012 as Director, Daytime Programs. Prior to joining CBS, she was a producer on the Network series ‘Medium,’ and has worked on nearly 300 hours of primetime scripted drama under JJ Abrams, Glenn Gordon Caron and Ronald L. Schwary. She started her career as a broadcast associate at CBS News Productions.”

The network also noted that Jacqueline Wickert, Vice President, Daytime Programs, now serves as current executive on “The Young and the Restless.”
