Netflix has taken the wraps off its new series from Spike Lee, based on his groundbreaking 1986 film “She’s Gotta Have It.”

The series version of “She’s Gotta Have It” will roll out its 10-episode first season on Thanksgiving, Nov. 23.

The series stars DeWanda Wise as Nola Darling.

The Netflix announcement describes Darling as “a Brooklyn-based artist in her late twenties struggling to define herself and divide her time amongst her Friends, her Job and her Three Lovers: Greer Childs played by Cleo Anthony (‘Divergent’), Jamie Overstreet played by Lyriq Bent (‘The Book of Negroes’), and Mars Blackmon played by ‘Hamilton’ alum Anthony Ramos.”

The cast also includes Chyna Layne (“Precious”) and Ilfenesh Hadeara (“Baywatch”), Margot Bingham (“Barbershop: The Next Cut”), Sydney Morton (“Love, New York”) and Joie Lee (“Do The Right Thing”).

The series is created and produced by Lee, who directs all 10 episodes.

Tonya Lewis Lee is executive producer, with Barry Michael Cooper and Lynn Nottage as producers.
