NBC is giving a high-profile gig to Alec Baldwin, casting the actor known for his Trump impersonations on “Saturday Night Live” in a key role in the network’s upcoming live presentation of “A Few Good Men.”
Baldwin will play Col. Nathan Jessep in the project from Aaron Sorkin.
Baldwin, a two-time Emmy winner, is coming off receiving two more Emmy nominations last week.
Baldwin and Sorkin will join Craig Zadan and Neil Meron as executive producers of “A Few Good Men,” an adaptation of Sorkin’s 1989 play.
“A Few Good Men” is due to air in the second quarter of 2018, with the date to be firmed up soon.
