On the same day that its first season premiered, a new animated series received a pickup for season two. Deadline.com reports that Netflix has ordered an eight-episode second season of “Castlevania.”
The series is an adaptation of the 1989 video game “Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse.” The show’s four-episode first season came out today, July 7, on Netflix.
“Written by best-selling author and comic book legend Warren Ellis and inspired by the classic video game series from Japan’s Konami, ‘Castlevania’ is a dark medieval fantasy that follows the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself,” Deadline reports.
Executive producers on the series are Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Adi Shankar and Fred Seibert.
