Nevada is bracing for a media blitz as O.J. Simpson closes in on a date with the parole board this week. Among the media outlets planning to cover the event, Deadline.com reports that ESPN will carry Thursday’s hearing live as an expanded 90-minute “Outside the Lines Special.”

Pool cameras will be allowed in the hearing room, Deadline notes, all but guaranteeing that the proceedings will also be covered on other news channels. The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT.

“In fact, the Nevada Board of Parole says about 30 news organizations have registered to cover the hearing at both the hearing location in Carson City and at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada, where Simpson is incarcerated on the 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping convictions,” Deadline notes.

The former football hero will reportedly meet with the four parole commissioners in Carson City via video conference from the prison.
