A new project from Aaron Kaplan, the renowned TV producer behind “The Mysteries of Laura,” “Terra Nova,” “American Housewife,” “Life in Pieces,” “Me, Myself and I” and many other series, has received a pilot order at Freeform.

Karey Burke, Freeform’s executive vice president, Programming & Development, announced today that the Disney young adult television and streaming network ordered the comedy pilot “Now & Then.”

Freeform describes the project as “a single-camera comedy about a group of old college friends, who, having lost touch over the years, are brought back together unexpectedly for one wild night only to be given a new lease on life and friendship. Reuniting as friends gives them the opportunity to discover who they always promised each other they would be.”

The pilot is written by Shawn Wines, who will also executive produce along with Kaplan and Dana Honor.
