A defense attorney who represented Bill Cosby during his criminal trial in Pennsylvania filed papers seeking to be removed as Cosby’s counsel ahead of his retrial in November. The AP reports that Brian McMonagle filed the documents today.

McMonagle says Cosby is arranging to hire new lawyers.

The jury in the previous trial deadlocked, resulting in a mistrial in June. Cosby, 80, will be retried on charges he drugged and molested Andrea Constand more than 10 years ago.
