Fallout for Trump After Ouster of Steve Bannon? Now He Has Angered One of His Staunchest Media Allies

The White House today announced the ouster of Steve Bannon following a tumultuous tenure as chief strategist, with observers suggesting Bannon’s firing will turn Breitbart News against Trump.

Breitbart, formerly headed by Bannon, has been one of Trump’s most steadfast media allies.

“Bannon, his allies and the site’s staffers have not been subtle about what is likely to happen now,” CNN reports. “Joel Pollak, a senior editor-at-large at Breitbart, tweeted ‘#WAR,’ a reference to the site’s early days and the mission statement of its founder, Andrew Breitbart.”

The report cites a source who recently spoke with Bannon saying the now-former White House chief strategist will not remain quiet.

CNN quotes the source saying: “It will be Bannon the barbarian. He’s not going to go out peacefully.”

The report adds: “Following news of Bannon’s exit, Breitbart started to prepare stories critical of people in the Trump White House, a person at the website told CNN. It’s most likely the site will not — for now at least — directly attack the president, but will focus its fire on people in Trump’s circle who had clashed with Bannon, or who are viewed as Democrats or ‘globalists.'”

Bannon reportedly returned to Breitbart as executive chairman of Breitbart News just hours after his exit from the White House.

  1. Screw him and the weasels he consorts with. They will not win in the final analysis and Trump will either quit or be impeached. And soon if the country is to survive these Ku Klux Klowns and nazi goons.

    • Yes, Steven. Yes, and thank you for that comment.

  2. That’s so cute, believing CNN on anything regarding Trump.

    • It’s even cuter that anyone would still believe anything Trump says about everything. At this point, a fact check on Trump saying what he had for lunch would probably come back as 90% false.

      • Thank you for that, AkaKJB!

  3. Is there anybody this guy can’t piss off?

  4. Since the election, Republicans have been pretty ineffective in accomplishing anything legislative because of all the inte-party conflict with the Trump Administration. If Trump goes, guess what happens? Things will be a lot calmer at White House and Congress will become very productive in establishing a Republican agenda.

If Democrats are smart, they’ll try to keep Trump in as long as possible. The less a Republican (or Democratic) dominated Congress can achieve, the better. We’re all better off when Congress actually has to work things out, and I don’t mean deal making/compromise or sloughing it off on some agency (whose responsibilities aren’t to make laws). I mean letting go of those things they don’t agree on and making law based only on the things that both parties mutually agree on.

  5. Yeah, the Nazis are PISSED.

  6. If Trump is impeached and removed or resigns, Pence becomes president. The open office of Vice President is filled by appointment of the new president. He appoints Herman Cain as the new VP. Then he hires Donald Trump as his chief of staff or senior advisory. Democrat liberal socialists will be jumping off high buildings! Then the government can get busy fixing all the damage done that past 8 years.
