NBC has joined forces with the team behind a dystopian feature film franchise to develop a futuristic drama series. Variety reports that the project, “Mosaic,” is in the works from Wes Ball, who directed all three of the “Maze Runner” movies, along with his producing partner Joe Hartwick Jr.
Ball and Hartwick are executive producing, with Ball also directing.
In an exclusive, Variety reports that the project is “described as being set in a near-future metropolis and follows the interconnected lives of a diverse set of characters struggling to navigate their relationships in the face of emerging technologies.”
Christine Lavaf will write and executive produce. Universal Television will produce along with Ball and Hartwick’s Oddball Entertainment and Chernin Entertainment.
