The Broadway superstar who holds the record for the most Tony Awards is coming soon to a TV set near you. CBS announced that Audra McDonald, who has a record six Tonys for acting — not to mention a Primetime Emmy and some Grammys — will be a regular on the CBS All Access series “The Good Fight.”
McDonald will reprise her role from “The Good Wife” as tough U.S. Attorney Liz Lawrence. (Click here to learn the plot twist that will beef up her role — we don’t want to spoil it for you unless you want to know.)
McDonald has had Tony-winning performances in “Carousel,” “Master Class,” “Ragtime,” “A Raisin in the Sun,” “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess” and “Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill.” She joins the cast of “The Good Fight” as a series regular alongside Emmy Award winner Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele and Justin Bartha.
