Co-Host of ‘The View’ Drops a Bombshell on the Air, Announces She’s Leaving the Show — Fox News Alum Said to Be in Talks to Join the Show

One of the co-hosts of “The View” is off the show after dropping a bombshell on the air with the announcement that it would be her last show. You can see the announcement by Jedediah Bila below.

Meanwhile, CNN cites sources today saying that Meghan McCain is in talks to join the show. As we announced last week, McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain, exited her job with Fox News, where she has been a co-host of the afternoon program “Outnumbered.”

“A deal to bring McCain on at ‘The View’ has not yet been completed, the people who spoke with CNN said, but is in late stages,” CNN reports, noting that ABC wasn’t commenting and McCain had not responded to a request for a comment.

Bila has been “The View’s” primary conservative voice during her one-year tenure on the show. In a possible parallel to McCain, Bila joined “The View” following a stint on Fox News’ “Outnumbered.”

“A reason for her departure [from ‘The View’] was not given, but a note sent to show staff said Bila ‘has new opportunities on the horizon, including her new book,'” CNN reports.

Here is Bila’s announcement …
