Jimmy Kimmel was celebrating last night on the ABC late-night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” announcing that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had decided to pull the plug on the Graham-Cassidy Bill. Kimmel has been an outspoken opponent of the attempt to repeal Obamacare.
Here’s what Kimmel had to say about the development …
We will see how happy he will be when people can’t buy healthcare in many states. Fortunately for him, he can afford to pay the $3000 – 5000 deductibles that have been added since this law passed. The co-pays were tough on people with lower incomes under the old system. The deductibles are actually forcing people to avoid necessary health care, because they can’t afford the deductibles. I see this with my relatives. How has this improved the system?
Spot on, Cleric! Fact is I’d be very happy with a $3,000 – $5,000 deductible vs my current $7,200. Kimmel should stick to things he’s more familiar with like women in bikinis jumping on trampolines.
Amen to that Brother Cleric. ABC should be forced to offer “Equal Time” to an opposing political viewpoint since Kimmel’s talking points came straight from Chuck Schumer.
If that is the case, Fox “News” should be required to start a second channel to offer “equal time” for opposing viewpoints of their 24/7 Trump/GOP talking points!

Jimmy Kimmel can afford whatever the insurance companies charge him. One of the benefits of being a millionaire. Do you have to care about people whose costs have gone up over 200% since Obamacare was passed? NO. That’s one of the advantages of being rich. Instead of both Republicans and Democrats posturing about changing/deleting/whatever Obamacare, I wish both parties would think about the people who have suffered most with the tremendous cost increases since the program came into being. For some stupid reason, Democrats don’t want to change a law that costs their constituents thousands of dollars more and the Republicans have shown no inclination to actually repeal and replace the law. Both parties are un-caring about their constituents but they both posture about how they care. No wonder politicians are so hated (also comics are becoming hated who rub it in our face that we’ll still be stuck with Obamacare).
