Prolific TV programming producer Shonda Rhimes is expanding her Shondaland empire, forming a partnership with Hearst to create a new lifestyle website.
“Shondaland will be hosted by Hearst Magazines Digital Media’s proprietary content platform MediaOS and will also receive syndication opportunities across Heart’s properties like Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire,” Variety reports. “The two companies will also collaborate on creating custom programs for advertisers, as well as monetizing content on the new site.”
In a statement, Rhimes said: “As we launch this new storytelling platform, we couldn’t be more excited to partner with one of the most prolific media companies in the world. Hearst’s collection of brands is second to none and we look forward to Shondaland joining their iconic portfolio.”
