The notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer will be the focus of two nights of special programming on Oxygen Media. The channel announced plans today for “Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks,” a two-night special premiering Saturday, Nov. 11.

“Twenty-five years ago, Milwaukee resident Jeffrey Dahmer committed and confessed to 17 gruesome murders, shaking the public’s perception of evil to its core,” Oxygen said in today’s announcement. “The shocking nature of his crimes — luring young men into his home, where he drugged, sexually violated, killed and eventually consumed his victims — unmasked a madman walking in the shadows and launched the question: How did a once mild-mannered, handsome young man become one of history’s most terrifying and unexpected serial killers?”

Dahmer was beaten to death in prison in 1994, but during his time in prison he gave a series of interviews to investigative journalist Nancy Glass, who revisits that material for the new specials.

“‘Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks’ offers a fresh look at the infamous serial killer’s life through the eyes of the woman who became his closest confidant. With new interviews from pivotal figures in the case, the series sheds light on the grizzly and complicated investigation.,” the announcement notes.

Said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media: “‘Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks’ catapults viewers into Jeffrey Dahmer’s psyche, providing a unique look at the life of a serial killer that shook the nation. Nancy Glass’ revealing interview with Dahmer, combined with our access to those who knew him, offers a gripping depiction of a serial killer that walked among us.”

“Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks” is produced by Glass Entertainment Group with Nancy Glass, Eric Neuhaus, J.C. Mills, Jon Hirsch, and Matthew Watts as executive producers.
