CBS has picked up one of its new dramas for a second season. The network announced today that “Ransom” has been given an order for a 13-episode second season.
The season will be filmed in Hungary, and will premiere in 2018.
Inspired by the professional experiences of noted crisis negotiator Laurent Combalbert, the series stars Luke Roberts as expert hostage negotiator Eric Beaumont.
Sarah Greene, Brandon Jay McLaren and Nazneen Contractor also star.
The drama series was created by David Vainola (“Diamonds,” “Combat Hospital”) and Frank Spotnitz (“The X-Files,” “The Man in the High Castle”).
I really enjoyed watching this show last summer. I hope it will be given a better time slot in 2018. Surprised to read it will be shooting in Hungary and not Canada.
