Fox News Fires Correspondent — Was It Related to Sexual Misconduct Claims?

Oct 24, 2017  •  Post A Comment

The Fox News Channel fired one of its correspondents Monday, with the network citing an investigation into a “physical altercation.” Deadline reports that the channel fired John Huddy, who had been working for Fox News since 2014 as a foreign correspondent.

“The news comes hours after his sister Juliet Huddy made an appearance on ‘Today’ to talk about her sexual harassment claims against former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly,” Deadline notes.

Fox News released a statement Monday saying: “Following a thorough investigation into a physical altercation earlier this month, Fox News made the decision to sever ties with Jerusalem-based correspondent John Huddy. The network’s investigation concluded last week, and due to observation of the Sabbath on Friday, terminated Huddy’s employment this morning.”

The report notes that Juliet Huddy, a former Fox News anchor, left FNC in September and has claimed that O’Reilly tried to undermine her career after she rejected his sexual advances. You can see a clip below of Juliet Huddy’s appearance Monday morning on NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today.”

Deadline notes: “Their father John Huddy Sr. was Fox News consultant and confidant to FNC co-founder Roger Ailes who resigned last July after a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by former anchor Gretchen Carlson.”

  1. He surely wasn’t fired for reporting false information…that would’ve gotten him a promotion at Feux News.

  2. Even behind the scenes, Fox News is a steaming cauldron of corruption.
