Game 7 of the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and Houston Astros, in which the Astros knocked off the Yankees 4-0 to reach the World Series, set a ratings record for FS1. Newsday reports that the game, televised Saturday night, averaged 9.92 million viewers.

The number represents the largest audience for any telecast in the network’s four-year history, the report notes.

“Fox said the total average audience for the game, including FS1, Fox Deportes and Fox Sports Go, was 10.5 million,” the report adds.

The game was also the most-watched league championship telecast on any network since 2010, when a game between the Giants and Phillies on Fox averaged 11.64 million viewers, the report adds.

“Fox said average overall viewership for the ALCS was 6.52 million, up 95 percent over a five-game series between the Indians and Blue Jays last year,” Newsday notes.
