The Gores Group, the private equity owner of Imagine, announced internally today that Imagine Communications CEO Charlie Vogt is stepping down, TVNewsCheck reports, citing industry sources.
Imagine is expected to announce Vogt’s exit publicly on Wednesday. Vogt departs after four and a half years at the helm.
Vogt has reportedly been replaced by Tom Cotney, the former CEO of mBlox (now CLX Communications).
TVNewsCheck notes: “Vogt was a vocal champion of transitioning media production and distribution to IP, and, though he had some successes — notably a big deal with Disney — he was unable to turn the strategy into steady revenue growth, the sources said.”
