A cable channel has a new boss after the man who has overseen it as executive VP and general manager stepped down. Variety reports that Paul Greenberg is leaving his position at A+E Networks-owned FYI to launch a digital video consulting firm, Butter Works.

Greenberg has overseen FYI for the past two years. He also served as head of 45th & Dean, the in-house digital content studio at A+E Networks.

“Gena McCarthy, FYI’s exec VP of programming and development, will take the reins of the cabler, reporting to Paul Buccieri, president of A+E Studios and A+E Networks Portfolio Group, and Rob Sharenow, president of programming for A+E Networks,” Variety reports. “Sean Cohan, A+E Networks president of international and digital media, will continue to oversee the operations of 45th & Dean.”

Greenberg was formerly CEO of the digital content ventures College Humor and Nylon.
