Kimmel’s Post-State of the Union Guest Appears to Be a Direct Jab at Trump

Jimmy Kimmel appears to be doubling down in his running feud with Donald Trump, announcing Thursday night that he has booked Stormy Daniels to appear on Kimmel’s ABC show on Tuesday, Jan. 30, following Trump’s first State of the Union address.

Daniels is a former porn star who has been the focus of reports that she had an affair with Trump in 2006 and was allegedly paid off by Trump before the 2016 presidential election. The Wall Street Journal reported Jan. 12 that Daniels received a payment of $130,000 through Trump’s attorney to keep quiet about the alleged affair.

Daniels has been making the rounds in the media, but USA Today notes that she hasn’t revealed much.

“She was interviewed on ‘Inside Edition’ Thursday and merely smiled when asked directly if she had a sexual relationship with Donald Trump, as she once claimed,” the story reports. “The White House has denied this but mostly declined to engage on the Stormy story. ‘This allegation was asked and answered during the campaign,’ White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah told reporters aboard Air Force One last week.”

Here’s the tweet Kimmel sent out to break the news of the booking …

  1. Gee, hate-spewing Kimmel will spew even more in a special program after the State of the Union. How shocking.

  2. This girl is going to squeeze every dime out of this publicity. Good for her. At her age the porn business doesn’t pay that well. And touring all the country’ strip joints, working for tips, can get to be drag.

  3. Stupid. I will not watch that whore. I’m no Trump fan but giving her airtime is a new low. Bad move. Sheesh
