Director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Charles Manson-era movie just added some star power with five-time Academy Award nominee Leonardo DiCaprio signing on, Deadline reports.
DiCaprio, an Oscar winner in 2016 for “The Revenant,” will play an aging actor in the untitled film. The movie has a release date of Aug. 9, 2019.
DiCaprio and Tarantino last collaborated in 2012 on “Django Unchained.”
Margot Robbie is reportedly in the running to play Sharon Tate, while Tom Cruise, Al Pacino and Brad Pitt are all being talked about for possible roles in the project.
Deadline notes that the story is being kept under wraps, but says the project is “a ‘Pulp Fiction’-esque movie set in 1969 Los Angeles during the summer of the Manson murders.”
