A series that has been a fixture of ABC’s prime-time schedule will wrap after its current season. Deadline reports that season seven will be the end of the line for the fantasy drama “Once Upon a Time.”

The second half of the season is scheduled to launch March 2, with the series finale due in May. The show has produced more than 150 episodes.

The report quotes ABC Studios President Patrick Moran saying: “’Once Upon a Time’ has been an amazing journey for all of us at ABC Studios and for fans around the world. We’re so proud and appreciative of the hard work and creative talent that Eddy Kitsis, Adam Horowitz and their cast and crew brought to this show for seven magical seasons.”

  1. It’s about darn time !

  2. The writing was on the wall when it got moved to Friday. Hopefully they won’t end it with a cliffhanger.

  3. They canceled “Last Man Standing” last spring, for this failed :Once Upon a Time” Friday experiment.

  4. I like this series at the beginning, but the thing grew tired after the third season, with danger and hero rescues every other episode.
