A real-world person who is something of a god to geeks will be dropping by CBS’s hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.” The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Bill Gates is set for a guest appearance — which is expected to cause a commotion on the show.
“The Microsoft founder will make a special guest-starring appearance as himself in a late March episode of TV’s No. 1 sitcom, when he attends a work function at Penny’s (played by Kaley Cuoco) pharmaceutical company,” The Post reports. “Getting wind of the VIP visit, Leonard, Sheldon et al do everything in their power to meet the computing icon.”
Gates will be following in the footsteps of such “nerd-tastic” “Big Bang Theory” guests as “Star Trek’s” Leonard Nimoy and George Takei, “Star Wars’” Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones, Apple’s Steve Wozniak, Tesla founder Elon Musk and physicist/cosmologist Stephen Hawking, among others, the report notes.
“The Big Bang Theory” resumes season 11 on Thursday, March 1.
