The ax fell on a comedy series that has been one of a handful of multicamera comedies running outside the broadcast networks. Variety reports that Netflix pulled the plug on the Kathy Bates cannabis dispensary sitcom “Disjointed” after one season.
Along with Bates, the series starred Aaron Moten, Elizabeth Alderfer, Tone Bell, Elizabeth Ho, Dougie Baldwin, Chris Redd, Betsy Sodaro, Nicole Sullivan, and Michael Trucco.
“The show received a 20-episode first-season order at the streamer in 2016, with the first half of the season debuting this past August and the second half premiering in January,” Variety notes. “Chuck Lorre and ‘Daily Show’ alum David Javerbaum served as writers and executive producers on the series, with Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television producing.”
Variety notes that with the cancellation of “Disjointed,” which received a lukewarm (at best) reception from critics, Netflix now airs three multicamera comedies: “The Ranch,” “Fuller House,” and “One Day at a Time.”

I have never done pot. So on some level I’m not the target audience. The first 10 episode part of the show was a very rough. The cast had no chemistry at the beginning, the story lines were all over the place. The Terry Gilliam adjacent animations that went on way too long. Dank & Dabby were straight up annoying.
Episode ten, brought to life the unfair treatment of the government to these shops.
I enjoyed the evolution of Tae Kwon Doug and his relationship with Pete,
But the 2nd 10 episodes got much better. Outside the biowave machine plot that was straight up dumb. It seemed the cast found a grove, Dank & Dabby were actually enjoyable. The Cancer angle that showed that maybe pot is not the worst thing in the world. At the very least it was a nice finale
I was looking forward to seeing what was going to happen next. Oh well
