The autopsy for former “Glee” star Mark Salling was completed Thursday, listing his cause of death as asphyxia by hanging.

As we reported previously, Salling’s body was found early Tuesday hanging from a tree in a riverbed near his home in Sunland, Calif. Authorities almost immediately determined his death to be a suicide.

The actor, who played Noah “Puck” Puckerman on “Glee,” was 35.

Us Weekly quotes Ed Winter of the Los Angeles Coroner Office saying today: “The autopsy was completed today and the doctor just posted the cause of death asphyxia by hanging and the manner of death is suicide. The case is now closed and the body is ready for pickup.”

Salling recently pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and was due to be sentenced March 7.
