The executive producer of a drama series confirmed that the show has been canceled, ending its run of four seasons. Dean Devlin announced Thursday on Twitter that TNT pulled the plug on “The Librarians.”
Devlin said the fantasy-adventure series will be shopped to other distributors in an effort to keep it going. You can see Devlin’s tweet below.
“The series, which was spun off from a popular TNT movie franchise, focuses on an ancient organization that protects the world from a hidden magical reality,” USA Today notes.
“Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Harlan Kim play protectors of the world’s mystical treasures in the series, with John Larroquette as their caretaker,” the report adds. “Noah Wyle, who starred in the related films, also appeared in numerous episodes in the most recent season, which concluded in February.”
