A former Disney Channel actress who’s now just 22 years old is joining Donald Trump’s press office. The BBC reports that Caroline Sunshine is headed to the White House as a press assistant.

Sunshine starred in “Shake It Up,” about teen dancers, from 2010-2013.

She previously completed an internship at the White House, and before that the Claremont McKenna College grad interned in the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party.

Here’s a Caroline Sunshine interview clip from 2011 …

  1. It is unfair to this young lady to have a headline that says “Former Disney TV Star Joins Trump White House Staff” as if that is her only qualification. “She previously completed an internship at the White House, and before that the Claremont McKenna College grad interned in the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party. Should have had a reference at least to one of her internships.”

  2. Seriously? This is the future of our government? Frightening.
