NBC’s “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie was doing spin control this morning after she had an embarrassing incident on camera. Guthrie swore into a live mic, unaware that it was live, and she could be heard over the air saying “Shit!” followed by “Sorry guys.”

She later sent out a tweet apologizing, which you can see below.

  1. Hard to believe this is news in this day and age. What a waste of time/ink/web space.

  2. Unfortunately, this is news, as it is a First Amendment restriction imposed by the supreme court on seven words which cannot be said on-air. NBC and SG are in peril of fines and sanctions from the FCC, because ‘shit’ is one of those words that you are not allowed, by law, to say on TV.

  3. Tim to overhaul, the FCC for their outdated rule and regulations IMHO.

Look our made in USA R rated movies are chopped up and censored on free to air “OTA” TV broadcasts.
It ruined the quality of the movies experiences sadly to say at least imho.

European TV broadcasters don’t censor our made in USA R rated movies at it all!
